Q. Do you accept insurance?
A. Yes, we are preferred providers for most major insurance,
to include HealthLink, FirstHealth, BlueCross/ Blue Shield, Anthem, Cigna, Medicare,
Great Rivers, and others. We file the claims for you.
Q. Do you accept Medicare?
A. Yes, we are participating providers for Medicare. We file the claims for you.
Q. Do you treat whiplash?
A. Absolutely. As a chiropractor, I am uniquely positioned to both evaluate and
treat these kind of injuries. We are experienced in treating patients with the
numbness, tingling, neck and back pain, and the headaches often associated with
these injuries. Whiplash can be a serious situation, and it should be evaluated
and treated as soon as possible.
Q. Do you require x-rays?
A. Not typically. It strongly depends on the patient's history. When clinically necessary,
we will absolutely take an x-ray. The key word is "necessary".
Q. What about fibromyalgia?
A. Its a tough syndrome to treat, but we have effectively treated it. We treat fibromyalgia
on 2 or 3 different fronts, due to the fact that it is actually a grouping of symptoms, not just one single disease.
Q. Do you refer out to other physicans?
A. Absolutely. Thru the years, I have developed a solid referral network with other physicans for patients
who may need a certain specialty or advanced testing.
Q. Do you treat childern?
A. Sure. Besides treating my own kids through the years, I have successfully treated children brought in to the office.
Their complaints often include low back pain, constipation, and ADHD, among others.
Q. What about payment?
A. We accept most major credit cards. We also offer payment plans. Our rates are quite reasonable, but we will help anyway we
can to make sure that you or your family member gets the necessary treatment.
Practice Profile
At Givens Chiropractic, we offer hands-on chiropractic treatment.
We also may use low force Activator Technique as needed. To facilitate the
chiropractic treatments, we may use certain physical therapy modalities to
include electric interferential muscle stimulation, therapuetic ultrasound, and
either hot or cold pack therapy.
Furthermore, we may select to use soft tissue, hands-on techniques to include
an active myofascial release, and rehabilitative exercises for common complaints
like whiplash, low back pain, neck pain and rotator cuff injuries.
In addition to Chiropractic care, Dr. Givens is licensed in Missouri for meridian therapy,
and practices acupuncture. Acupuncture may be used for various pain complaints, and has also
been effectively used for both smoking cessation and appetite suppression.
We have a licensed massage therapist in our office with over 5 years experince. We can help you
with the appointment. Terry has very competitive rates, and does a great job with his massage therapy craft.
Finally, we take nutritional counseling seriously, and are eager to offer proven, effective suggestions
for how nutritional supplements may enhance and promote your recovery.
